Space/Science » in reply to I just looked at the web site

The author of that website...

...is a UFO kook. He's an artist by profession and not a particularly good one at that. He claims to be a graphic artist, but his rather sloppy and illegible presentation on his Orbit website belies that claim. He knows virtually nothing about science. One of his nuttier claims a while ago was to suggest that LASCO images of the sun were displaying alien spacecraft and doomsday asteroids.

"Greg" by the way, is Greg Orme. His claim to fame is to make silly assertions about Mars. One of his more enjoyable moments was an old website protraying what he claimed were "survey lines" traversing the Cydonian plains near the so-called "face." His latest foray into psuedoscience was his paper on "martian spiders, wherein he claimed that the annual sublimation of CO2 and H2O frost on Mars near the poles was evidence life on Mars. He even claimed his "paper" had been peer-reviewed by Nick Hoffman when in reality he had sent it to Nick and never received a reply. He asserted Nick's lack of critical comment could be presumed as a positive endorsement of his "work."

Unfortunately, the nonsense factory continues to work full-time.
