re: I've read lots of good sci-fi novels

But there are rather few good sci-fi movies. It's too bad too, because there are *so* many good sci-fi novels. I particularly like the sci-fi anthologies, like Years Best Sci-Fi, edited by David G. Hartwell. Read 'em all. Lot's of variety. Lot's of different author's takes on reality. Maybe it's just too hard to express literary ideas as quality video, script and narrative. Maybe it loses something. Or maybe it attempts to fill in where the imagination is supposed to.
