Your use of profanity here is inappropriate and unwarranted.
But the fact is it is downright silly to suggest that this darkish splotch on Jupiter has anything to do with Galileo. The spot is about the size of earth. Its huge. The Galileo spacecraft is an insignificant speck. Nor is it plausible that the plutonium-238 aboard the spacecraft could produce a nuclear explosion.
This is just more junk "science" from Kent Steadman. Not surprising, since the guy has virtually no background experience or education in the sciences.
