Bush blunder on steel tariffs comes back to bite us
Trade war looms.
One of the things where I totally disagreed with Bush (along with a large contingent of conservatives) was the approval of steel tariffs. We sacrificed our moral stance on free trade for a short-term benefit for a few voters.
Naturally, Europe is itching to do something to nail Bush anyway, and he left himself wide open.
