Life isn't as simpleminded as your either-or proposition.
There is always room for criticism of any president or government policy. That is essential for good government. A long time ago, someone said, "My country, right or wrong." To that, someone replied, "Saying 'My country' right or wrong is like saying 'My mother, drunk or sober.'"
Legitimate criticism is the first step in solving any problem. Before you can fix any problem, you have to first admit it exists. In a nation of almost 290 million people, there will be countless disagreements over whether something is wrong or right. That's human nature.
However, when all someone does is mindlessly repeat nothing but the negative, then all they're proving is a lack of rational balance. The extreme cases are the ones like those on Democratic Underground. They're so blinded by their hatred that nothing Bush could possibly do would win their approval except perhaps for committing suicide (and no doubt some would jump on his case for how he chose to do it).
There isn't a person on Earth that I agree with on everything including my wife. That's just human nature. There are few that I disagree on everything, either. Extremists of any stripe are not only intellectual midgets, they're bores.
