re: You're flat out wrong

Well you can't have it both ways. Whenever people criticise Bush's policies there comes out this meme that is just blind Bush hatred and nothing to do with the real policies. Then it's supposed to be unpatriotic, etc.
So if the left can't criticise anything Bush does without being blind Bush haters how come the right is allowed to? By the usual argument you guys are just saying this out of blind hatred as well, there can't possibly be anything to your argument. Also it seems pretty unpatriotic criticising Bush's steel tariffs like that.
The fact is criticising a leader is never partisan or unpatriotic. From either the left or right once he's there he's fair game to have his policies criticised. I could make up just as many bait and switch arguments supporting steel tariffs and farm bills as you guys do trying to support tax cuts to the rich, spending trillions of dollars to get a bounce in the economy that could have been done with a few tens of billions.
Running economies these days is based on mathematics and the scientific method. Using a web of lies and bait and switching might protect bad ideas in a partisan manner. You paint yourself in a corner though, now all of a sudden the rules change for you and it's ok for you to criticise. Next week the left will complain about something and we'll be back to the old lies again.
There's nothing remotely libertarian about anything Bush does. Trying to make out he is is absurd.
