Why should we care what a bunch of writers think?
There sure is a noticable bias towards writers and politicians in those comments. Writers get paid for writing what people want to read not for actually accomplishing a damn thing in the real world or making tough choices with real world impact. A good writer is a source of inspiration and deep thought, but no more an authority on right or wrong than anyone else who thinks carefully on the issues.
