Never once did the Bush administration file a brief in international courts against Saddam Hussein for human rights violations, possibly because that would give support to the legitimacy of such courts. The big argument was "imminent threat to the United States" and "weapons of mass destruction".
In his speech, Mr. Bush used the suffering of the people as an aside, windowdressing to illustrate his argument. I excerpted only a fraction of his references to the existence or implied existence of weapons; you have included all of his references to Iraqi suffering. Based on frequency and emphasis, which was the point he was driving home?
He pinned the march to war on the existence of something that wasn't there.
That there were other, better reasons to remove Saddam is not in question. Too bad they weren't made before the war, rather than trying to use the Edit functions to insert them after the fact.
Calling Don a liar for pointing this out is out of line.
