re: One reason could be enough
What matters is for someone to eloquently be able to cite one major reason for returning back to the Moon.
Sometimes, reasons are hidden behind others that are cited.
Kennedy said "because it is hard". He doesn't cite the USSR in his speeches even if for congress and industry, that's the main reason.
But if we begin to multiply the reasons, then their values are diminished.
