uh, which of these, aside from 10 (well, 3 and 7 too) aren't among the reasons cited for going to Mars (4-6 replaced by whatever science it is the Planetary/Mars Societies want to do there, 8 = colonization, basically)? Is there any rational reason for going to Mars in the next couple of decades that is not on this list? And, on reason #1, going to Mars is going to be at least a few times more costly...
