Maybe you might get the idea that sticking Cheney to Halliburton, long after he left it, is getting a bit old. And the whole idea that this is a core reason we're in Iraq is a pantload to start with.
For anyone interested, Cheney's current "links" to Halliburton are discussed here.
The astute reader may wish to compare the prices on Cheney's options with the current price of the stock. Exercise for the student: how much money will Cheney "make" if he exercises all those options today?*
For the record, Halliburton, riding the stock price rise, is floating at about 25.
Halliburton's stock history can be found here. Practically a license for Cheney to print money, right?
What's really funny is that the public pressure forced Cheney to sell huge amounts of stock prior to the 2000 election, when the market was riding high. Had they allowed him to just keep it, he would have gone in the toilet with the rest of the market.
