Is parachute deployment determined by the landing radar or by an accererometer? So will the parachute come out at the nominal 1.5 km regardless of the descent velocity (at a higher Mach number)? Or, if it is based on an accelerometer, do you have any guess how much lower than 1.5 km it might be due to the 60 deg. aeroshell?
