technical limitations
Aside from winds at landing, I have heard that the main problem with dust storms is coating the solar panels on landers and rovers with dust, reducing their effectiveness.
A lot of thought has gone into ways of "cleaning" solar panels, since this is an issue even without dust storms, but so far I don't think any of the current probes have a mechanism to do this. Anyone know more about this?
