To be fair, Tom... I think you have an understanding that this aint a game

But I think many dont... My point is this- If we go to war I think we SHOULD report on its consequences- kids die, parents die and leave orphans... life becomes hell...

We can also report on the good things... and they do...

But the day when we just report the happy stories will be a very sad day... Concerned parents are angry at the sick video games that have their kids shooting random people, because it desensitizes them to violence- (I played those games too) Dont you think a large number of quotes that say " Dude! We wiped those bastards out! we F'ing killed them all" is kinda treating it like a game?

Do you understand, Tom? War should NEVER be presented as a thing to celebrate- ANY person that returns happy needs to be examined, a decent human should view killing as evil.... if they have to do it in war it isnt something to be proud of... Any quotes that say "yeah we kicked ass!!" in my opinion demean us...

If we are to hold the moral highground we need more to say " I had to kill, but only because I had to- I hope it was for a good reason..."

but for you to be upset that some damn loyal soldier felt for the loss of his comrades is kinda unpatriotic... care to explain your traitorous comments Tom?

But if we go to war for a just cause then hearing the sad results shouldnt bother you.. right?
