The Drake Equation Has Little Value For Reason's Other Than MC's Comments

I've stated why many times. However I strongly disagree with Chrighton's blithe dismissal of most of the terms in the Drake equation. It just shows how truly ignorant he is on the topic. In my opinion it is the whole approach of the Drake equation that is wrong not the terms. The frequency of intelligence is most likley a function of time with many variable Drake did not include and should be represented by differential equations not a simplistic algebraic one giving a nonzero probability at the universe's beginning.

The Drake equations main value is and always will be in facilitating discussion about what is needed for intelligent life to evolve even though it ignores some of the prerequisites.
