He can't, that was my point. Yet though he be blameless, he still does not mention that the dearth of color in VT is a good reason for no minority staff. It is a reasonable but politically incorrect answer.

Wow Tom, we all want Dean to be the nominee but that one sounds straight out of the Dean campaign manual. :)

Actually my comment was what I would expect Dean to be trying to avoid more than what I believe to be fact.

What is your take on why he avoided the reasonable excuse? I say Sharpeton would have gone after him for such an answer.
