re: War supporter?

What kind of war?
The war in Iraq has nothing to do with fighting against terrorism.

Why?
Because terrorists most of the time don't come from dictatorial countries. The IRA (Northern Ireland), the ETA (Spain), the Brigata Rossa (Italy), Al Qaeda (allied Arab countries) all come (or came) from pro-western countries and from small disillusioned radical minorities. They thrive because they take advantage of our freedoms. They move around because we can move around.
Dictators are scared of their own people and if there's the slightest lack of trust (which is obvious as terror reigns), they won't allow people out of their own country. Dictators already have too much to do in their own country to care about what's going on outside.

When Bush says "free societies don't produce terrorism", he's lightyears away from reality.

Iraq is now living in chaos (which means even less law and order than in the freeest countries) and no wonder insurgents and terrorists take advantage of the situation. Plus the free circulation of all kinds of weapons (should serve as a lesson to the countries where weapons are easy to get).

And freeing Iraq from Saddam...But who's going to succeed him?
Apparently, Iraqi christians are being persecuted, even killed. Iraqi women (60% of the population) are not encouraged anymore to study or have a job or simply to be free. Thanks to the growing Islamist influences!

And...Of course, it's oh so easy to start a war, but how do you end it?
Or perhaps, are there some who don't want to end it?
