You don't realize what a war is, do you?
We've been invaded, occupied and know damn well how difficult it is to get out of it. It failed in 1919 and 20 years later, war was back.
One side is winning, the other is losing, but on both sides , there are populations that didn't ask for it (great loss of properties and lives).
It's all a matter of not humilating the other side (the loser).
About Saddam rewarding the palestinian terrorists: he rewarded the families of the suicide bombers.
The real danger , as BHL wrote, is Pakistan. And what's going on? Musharraf is the western world ally, but Pakistan is no democracy and Musharraf has narrowly escaped attacks and what happens when he's no longer there, knowing the country has the N Bomb?
