You'll be right if Iraq becomes a democracy.
Europe had known democracy long before Hitler, so it wasn't too difficult to find it back.
Iraq is a totally different matter.
It reminds more of Algeria than of Turkey and I'm afraid what Bush will have succeeded in doing was to create another Iran-like republic.
I hope I'm wrong but forcing Iraq to become a democracy won't work.
An Islamist republic could be as falling from Charybdis to Scylla (especially to women).
