My input was about the "Early Lunar Access" General Dynamics project of 1993.
2 rockets with a 25 to 28 tonnes to LEO capacity , could take 2 astronauts to the Moon and back.
The point being : it's possible to achieve this kind of mission without necessarily resorting to entirely new rocket launchers.
