If you were paying attention...
I wasn't railing against them ignoring the Kerry rumor. I was railing about them beating the equally pointless AWOL flap deep into the ground while at the same time giving the Kerry rumor a complete pass with not the slightest attempt to microinvestigate it to the level they did the Bush story. Ideally, both should have been largely ignored. Some rumors are more equal than others.
And in the context of "it's early yet," there's no better evidence that the Kerry rumor was related to the primary, instigated by fellow Democrats, and not to the election.
