"Once again in Lindyland......"

"Nobody is ever allowed to change".
I've noticed you take what I say literally too far at times, when I'm just making a point as a "devil's advocate".
Thanks for your lists of what you WOULD be like if you hadn't found God.....;~)
You asked>"Where would you be, Lindy -- I mean if you never, ever made a life-changing decision that you actually stuck to? Really think about it."
Interesting. However, my life style changes were minute, egged on by moral conscience. Some people take the wrong road all the time (as a matter of fact, Publius and I were just discussing this at length last night). What makes people do things they shouldn't? Is it genetic? Is it repressed anger at an untenable situation in early childhood? Is it stupidity? Well, we all should learn from our mistakes. Hopefully sooner, than later. But I'm not sure you have to find "God" to do it.
Mind you, I'm not knocking God. I think everyone's interpretation of God is a very personal thing. When you're "Born Again", you become a bit of an evangelist, and start judging others. Telling others what they should do. I have spoken at length what I think of some "born-again Christians" over here, and if you remember, I said I wouldn't want one as a neighbour. At least a radical one. (Please excuse my observation if I am offending any members of this board)
I rarely bring up religion here, because I don't go to church and my "faith" (or morality) or whatever you call it is a very personal thing to me. Not to be hung on a shingle, not to be hollered from the rooftops, and not used to bring anyone down to my Will (or suffer damnation....quote"You're either with us or against us).
Secondly, I found it amusing you brought up ufos in your answer. For someone who hangs around the space board, you must be INTERESTED in life out there. Yet, your snide remarks tell me you'd have a real shock to your paradigm if you found out we were not alone....
>And then you said this: " I still think there are few here who really, truly care."
I'm not sure what you mean by this. Care to clarify it, so I can respond appropriately?
