Heaven forbid that anyone ever truly find God in their lives and within themselves, and heaven forbid thay ever try to improve upon their own lifestyles by making genuine life choices. And heaven forbid that anyone who does should ever hold the office of President of the United States of America.
What a frightening thing to ever happen. What this world truly needs are people running it who have never made a bad choice, and have never been involved in any scandle.
I wonder whom that could ever be...
Once again, "... nobody in Lindyland is ever allowed to change ..."
But if this were so in the real world:
* I would not support abortion today
* I would not support military action today
* I would not support Bush today
* I would be an alcoholic today
* I would believe in UFO activity here on Earth
* I would believe in US coverups of UFO activity here on Earth
* I would be deep into drugs today
* I would still insist LBJ had nothing to do with JFK's death
* I would consider the NASA shuttle missions to be a stepping stone for further deep-space exploration
* I would have retired from military service back in 1995
* I would, in all likelihood, be dead today (drugs, alcohol, AIDS, wrong place at the wrong time kind of knife/gun fighting, or something equally stupid)
Where would you be, Lindy -- I mean if you never, ever made a life-changing decision that you actually stuck to? Really think about it.
I know what I did, and I generally knew where my mind was when it was happening. Guess what? It's the same with the prez. Sure, he did some stupid things growing up. Anyone who hasn't has failed to grow up.
"... trip him up on something ..."? What a freakin' surprise!
"... his religious zeal has stacked the Supreme Court with judges who are "pro-life" (similiar to being pro-war?)." I've not looked into it -- and will likely not look into it -- but, if what you say is so, that is truly his perogotive, otherwise the Supreme Court offices would be elective, not selective.
"... this time the Democrats are starting to smell blood ..." They've been smelling it ever since Bush punched them in the nose in 2000.
"And it would be in retaliation to the standards the Republicans held Bill Clinton to and were ready to impeach him for; mostly for LYING, but for having...well, illicit sex (something Republicans and their religious right would NEVER consider, lest God strike them dead)."
Lindy, it hurts when I laugh that hard. What a freaking strategy. Retaliation for actions taken against a Dem president that the Dem party wishes to distance themselves from during Dem campaigns! Too funny for words!!
The impeachment had nothing to do withy sex, Lindy, and everything to do with purjury at a congressional hearing. That, my dear, is what is known as a felony offense -- you know, like rape and murder? -- and a felomy offense is very impeachable.
You may continue to dredge the ancient history and ignore the current record of one, and you may continue to defend the current record and ignore the ancient history of the other all you wish. I still think there are few here who really, truly care.
Cheers,
Dan (sorry, but no spellchecker here)
