You're taking a BIG step. Good for you.
Of course nothing is settled. Much, much more needs investigation. We are, after all, dealing with Mars, not the Earth, and there is still very little understanding of how things really work in the Martian environment. You've gone farther than many in exploring the uniqueness of the geological and geophysical effects of that environment.
Do you relate the Opportunity site deposits to other "White Rock" deposits? Similar mechanisms?
