It didn't require much thought to assemble that sample of Reagan fetish imagery. Focusing on the date on which the image or fetish object was created is a complete red herring. The significant thing is the fact that people collect those things and display them with reverence. That's all it takes to make a fetish; not a timestamp. I'd say that the ones that came much later are significant as tokens of the degree of devotion some people retain for Reagan.
The whole debate over deification of Obama versus Reagan becomes less important the more examples of this stuff you find. These are archetypes. The "Heroic Soviet Worker" poster morphs without a blink into "Marlboro Man Reagan" (BTW, my first image search was "Reagan Marlboro Man" and it turned up pretty much the same set of images--that's a particularly pernicious association). The '60s Marxist Revolution posters morph seamlessly to promote the political-revolution-du-jour.
What's interesting is not the differences, but the similarities. These images tell us more about ourselves than their subjects.
