re: "nobody has anything to worry about"

Way back when, I posted a "blog" in Flame where I opined that the entire US intelligence community had either royally screwed up, or told the Boss only what he wanted to hear, to save their employed asses. Clarke's recent statements before Congress and on 60 Minutes seem to indicate that the intelligence community was ordered by the Boss to only tell him want he wanted to hear.

Here's what I worry about: that these hearings will eventually go the way of Iran/Contra, rather than Watergate.

In my mind (and I'm not alone), the question now is not so much "What did the President know, and when did he know it?" but

"What did the President refuse to listen to, and why?"

The surviving families of the victims of 9/11/01 have priority, but the entire nation has a need and right to know the answer.
