And on cue, I rise...
Rarely does anyone weigh facts before deciding what to believe.
Sure true for conservatives, and other True Believers, anyway.
30 percent of adult Americans believe that UFOs are space vehicles from other civilizations; 60 percent believe in ESP; 40 percent think that astrology is scientific; 32 percent believe in lucky numbers; 70 percent accept magnetic therapy as scientific; and 88 percent accept alternative medicine.
I would love to take a survey of all these people and find out how many of them are liberals, and how many conservatives. What do you think the answer would be?
Or you could survey those who sew crystals in their underwear, move their furniture around to reroute the "forces" in a room, worship "earth spirits," think Mars is covered with metal car parts, use homeopathic medicine that consists of water, and think that pumping drugs into your system enlightens you.
Or those who still think collectivism works.
