Understandable?

There's a pretty damn fine line between understandable and excusable. To say it is understandable sounds an awful lot like a justification to me. It sounds like you're splitting hairs but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

The idea that ones' intentions are not to kill civilians is nonsense. It isn't the drunk drivers' intention to kill someone, but they are dead anyway. And if that drunk driver has driven past a no trespassing sign onto your property, after asking all your neighbors for permission, and killed your kids anyway, the intention is irrelevant. That could be a cause. There could be an effect

Setting aside the inaccuracies of your analogy, it is clear you see no difference between unintentional manslaughter and premeditated murder. I'm glad you are not a judge. True, in both cases there is a dead person and loved ones left to suffer, but the two are clearly not identicle. Not in the eyes of reasonable people. Thus the difference in the law.

I did not say it was excuseable or forgiveable. The people who planned it, the ones left alive, should be shot, before sunrise.

Thank you for FINALLY saying that. Had you said it in your original post I wouldn't have flown off the handle. If you truly mean it then I am sorry for the personal attack.
