Rich people and Coprorations pay most of the taxes in america, so give them larger tax cuts, right?
Actually, the article you linked to talks solely about corporations. It never discussed the rich at all. If you dispute the fact that the top 50% of wage earners pay 95% of the income taxes, then take it up with the IRS. Those are their numbers, not mine.
If you're opposed to corporations not paying their "fair share" of taxes, then you probably have trouble with Kerry's proposal to cut corporate taxes. However, since corporations simply pass on their taxes to their customers as part of the cost of their products and services, it isn't too much of a stretch to sugest that no corporation actually pay taxes - individuals do. These passed along taxes, along with the cost of regulatory compliance, are in effect stealth taxes. All we consumers see is that the cost of the products we buy are higher, so it's easy to blame the "evil corporations" for ripping off the little guys - which is exactly the kind of tax increase that politicians love the most.
