The rich do pay most of the taxes in America. I have posted IRS documents (this Excel file for one) that show this.
As far as factoring in payroll taxes, where are your tables and statistics? I would like to see the same data with payroll taxes factored in.
I keep hearing that the rich don't pay any taxes. Usually from exactly the same people who complain that if we give any tax cuts to the rich, the government will lose massive amounts of revenue. But then consistency has never been a strong suit of the Left.
And hey, the payroll tax wasn't my idea. It was the Left's. When Social Security started out, it only accounted for 2 percent of all revenues.
