Looks as if the American policies are producing a result the opposite of that which is intended, and yet there is no way to change the policies and save political face.
So, as in Vietnam, innocent people will die so that an American President, or two or three, don't have to admit they are wrong.
Doesn't seem worth it to me. But then I don't own stock in Halliburton.
