When I learned how horrible Saddam and sons were treating the Iraqis before the war, I thought that was good enough reason to go in there an oust that murderous dictator.
Then came the war last year and we learned about all the people who raised up against Saddam after the first Gulf War, expecting us to rid them of Saddam. We learned that they were murdered by the dictator. I was horrified. I blamed the First President Bush for not getting rid of Saddam back then.
I thought liberals were the ones who supported freeing oppressed people and supporting basic human rights. I guess it depends on who is leading the fight for freedom.
