I heard a radio interview with an advisor to the provisional government...he suggested 2 more divisions minimum need to go to Iraq if there's going to be any hope of establishing control, which he says has clearly not been established to date.
With my limited knowledge of such things, I'd have put 2 divisions at about 30,000 troops, but he said it'd be around 40 - 50,000.
