I agree with McFly on why another 100,000 troops are necesarry.

It pisses me off that President Bush is playing politics with regard to Iraq's security. He won't spend the money or send more troops cause its an election year. That doesn't cut it for me. I supported this war and still believe there are good reasons to be in Iraq. I want to see it done right. President Bush needs to call a spade a spade and increase the amount of troops and equipment in Iraq. He needs to ensure every soldier has the kit he needs to do his job. I hate reading about how soliders don't have body armor or how light skinned vehicles don't have enough armor plating on them. If President Bush would just make a visit to congress and say "In order to inccrease security for Iraqis and our personnel we need to deploy x amount of men, and the cost is projected at y amount of dollars for the remainder of the year." I think he could pull it off and show he is really committed to the Iraqis and our servicemen. It would go a long way with congress as well as with the voters. It would provide a sharp contrast to Kerry's "cut bait" approach.
