The firing rates of existing equipment are ample for any known needs. What we need is not higher firing rates, but better targeting. Firing and missing is simply a waste of time. A gun that detected a target, aimed with precision, and hit what it aimed at with a SINGLE round would be far better than another stupid scattergun that spews metal all over the place.
