Smart Bullet
Yea the Metal Storm weapons are a bit of an overkill, but I like the fact of no moving parts.
I also saw a documentary the other day about advanced military weapons in the pipeiline. One was an shaped-charge exploding bullet that could be fired from a sniper rifle. The scenario they showed was a hostile hiding behind a wall, the sniper took a distance measurement to the wall with a rangefinder, he then progamed this distance into the bullet with a small keypad on the gun. Once fired the bullet would travel the distance, then detonate down upon the person hiding behind the wall.
Kinda makes hiding a moot point.
