Think it makes a difference if a country invades another country without provovation simply to loot their resources? That maybe the invader ought to at least be polite to those they are robbing? That if you're going to mug someone the least you can do is not beat the hell out of them while they are helpless? Does that make any sense?
The argument "everyone's doing it" is shabby, at best. I'm glad your kids could get away with it, I suppose.
Mine couldn't. I believe our family acted certain ways, honorably, regardless of the neighbors.
I'm proud of that, and I'd like to be proud of my country, too.
