re: Reality v. rhetoric.

"Why do you think the US invaded Iraq instead of North Korea.
<snip>
WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN INVADED?"

Iraq.

Who in the region of N Korea would have supported an invasion of N Korea?
Answer: None.
Nor would any country in region support any kind of bombing N Korea. N Korea is contained. And if N Korea were to start a war, it would face a certainty of massive counter attack- though N Korea is involved in covert warfare at a "managable" level. N Korea was and is a client state of China [and to some extent Russia]. The solution to N Korea will involve China.

Who in the region of Iraq supported an invasion of Iraq?
Answer: Kuwait, Saudis, Jordan, and others- and even Iran declared they would be neutral [they had no love of Saddam]. The most opposed was Syria- they were the only country that might have been construed to be allied to Iraq's Saddam's regime and stated they were opposed to effort to change the regime. The countries in the region who were favorable, were not favorable if the US was not willing to fully committed to changing the regime; they were not in favor of half measures.
