When I was ready to leave from Werl (Germany) back to home, for my first few days off, I enquired to an RP about chedule and that guy invited me to his room where other guys were. He asked a very influencible guy (a simpleton) (they were all draftees-like me- from months earlier) to hit me while another one was holding me. Because he hesitated (he was normally very nice) the RP shouted at him "Hit him" and the simple-minded guy punched his fist right into my diaphragm, cutting my breath for endless seconds (for absolutely no reason other than to test his own power of persuasion. The RP knew very weel I wasn't going to denounce him (no withness) as he was at the gate allowing us one by one out of the base and it was my first leave.

That's the army: you order someone else to do the dirty stuff and the responsability is getting diluted.
