It might work if there was the slightest real concern on the part of the media over Iraqi prisoners and America's reputation, as opposed to their real goal: driving home an issue for the sole purpose of kneecapping a Republican administration.
A clue to the media's motives might be the almost complete indifference to any human rights abuses around the world when they cannot be laid at the feet of America or George W. Bush.
