Current Events » in reply to YOUR post is offensive. These guys were, for the most part, caught in the act of fighting for Al Qaeda. The HELL with them.

So now you're judge and jury?

So, you seem to believe that ALL those rounded up so far, whether at Guantanamo or Abu Garaib are GUILTY, even without a trial?
Wow, an American witch hunt. They don't deserve any trial, just torture and excution? Hell, we treated the Nazi war criminals better than that!

The extorting of information was stepped up because they weren't really getting anywhere. And the Red Cross reported that 90% of the people detaind in Iraq were innocent bystanders with NO useful information. So, according to your moral stance, torture IS justified, whether they were Al Queda or not.

Seeing as there were very few (if any) Al Queda members in Iraq when we attacked (they were all hiding out in Afganistan), we now have created a whole new phenomena we've never seen before......Iraqis taking up arms against American occupiers, and then we call them terrorists! Obviously you bought into the erroneous label that Iraq was a serious threat to the US (remember those "Weapons of Mass Destruction"?) and now see everything from your perch. Actually, the majority of Americans and others worldwide, see this war as unnecessary. Perhaps as Jew, you have a natural hatred towards Muslims?

Now the REAL Al Queda have an interesting history tied into Bin Laden's cocaine and heroin network. Mohammed Atta travelled here in Florida with several international pilots' licences ferrying around what appears to be loads of heroin and cocaine and managed to avoid ALL legal inspections from the FBI and FAA which covered for him.
You get it? Protection from federal agencies. No one could touch him.
That's why the real 9/11 investigation has been stonewalled and why 28 pages have been re-dacted. Maybe you ought to watch this 5 minute TV interview with "Daniel Hopsicker Live with Katherine Crier " and begin to see the underbelly of America's most misunderstood <terrorist> Mohammed Atta.
