I appreciate the lengthy explanation. Too bad it's utterly irrelevant to me. I didn't bring up impeachment at all.
Frankly, I wasn't that hard over on impeaching Clinton in the first place. I didn't think he should have been President, but he got elected (with less than half of the votes each time, but elected is elected) and I could grit my teeth and put up with it.
But the man is a creep, and always has been, and it disgusts me to see people almost literally drooling over him.
To simplify, in case there are any other "slow" people out there besides me, a man who would do what he did to his wife and child would do the political equivalent to the American people to serve his own purposes. A man who would look America in the eye and lie in his teeth about sex would lie to America about anything.
The word is integrity.
The idea that one's life can be legitimately divided into moral segments is a myth. I'm sure the idea that you can be a scumbag in some parts of your life while still being a "good" person in other parts appeals to a lot of people, especially those who don't think much of moral judgments to begin with.
