Okay...

...its a friggin' quagmire. Hundreds of American soldiers have died needlessly. Thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens have died needlessly. Hundreds of billions of American taxdollars have been spent without good cause. Our military forces are effectively stretched to their limits and tapped out. Meanwhile international terrorism continues to escalate. This will continue well into the next decade.

Fact is, conducting a pre-emptive war in Iraq was a terrific mistake...one that we and our children will be paying for for a long time. It was reckless and unnecessary. It has made the world less safe and this country less secure. It was bad idea and should not have happened. We should have focussed out attention on finishing our work in Afghanistan and taking out Al Qeada, including Bin Laden - remember he's still on the loose almost three years after 9/11. Mr. Bush is to blame for that. His diversion of American lives and dollars to Iraq has only helped Al Qeada get stronger and more influential.
