re: Simple fact check

we have found 14 shells with either Saran or mustered gas in them. When they were made or how Saddam got them is irreverent.

Above and beyond your claim about the irrelevancy of their condition, age and etc- I still don't have any data to support your claim. A link please, or you can simply retract your claim.

Its not like Iraq cared about the environment- do you think that the folks might just have dumped them into a trench and written off after their life-cycle was done? long before sanctions and etc? It seems like ancient circa WWI style chemical weapons does not really extend into a case for pre-emptive self defense.

"Not really. The way some people talk, you would think Iraq and Afghanistan were 2000 miles away. The fact they are next door, with only Iran between them shows just how close Al Qaeda's home country was to Iraq.
"

So, we are 80 miles away from cuba Does that make florida or the US a communist state in league with castro? (actually, given the damage bush has done to our country, maybe florida IS in league with castro!)

Again, so what!? this is pretty damn near a non-squiter.

"This evidence came to light last week. I guess you missed it."

Got a link (yet again)?

"So you would have rather wait until he attacked us?"

Yeah, in general he has to attack or we have to uncover an attack in planning or in progress in order to claim self defense. Sort of how that goes, you know. There are plenty of folks in life I thought might like to take a poke at me, but I don't go around busting everyone in the mouth. Otherwise, I' be writing this from prison.

Besides, if you can't exhibit Iraq as a threat to the US at all, then you don't even have basis to cclaim that he *might* have attacked us.

It wasn't blind faith. Between Saddam's history and the evidence, that was enough

Saddams history does not show him to be a threat to the united states. He HAS proven to be a threat to his neighbors. We had that threat thouroughly in check. Case-in-point, he didn't do a damn thing to his neighbors during the 10 years of inspections, sanctions and our troops in the area.

Why can't you see what good we have done by ridding Saddam from Iraq [...]For me, Saddam gassing those Kurds is enough. He should have been taken down long ago.

Why?

Because a few thousand miles away in the Sudan millions are dying (at the hands of islamic militias none-the-less!) and we are not doing a damn thing- not even making any noise or applying any real pressure. And even if our current regime could be inspired to aid, every shred of our military prowess is committed right now, thanks to a very poorly excuted, justified and concieved war that we had no business doing.

It can't be slective, REB, and be genuine and humaniarian. I bet you don't know a damn thing about whats happening in the sudan. You don't care. Admit it. Iraq was a feel-good political expediency driven by ideology and a simplistic view of the real war on terror. You were sold by an aggressive PR campaign, which you bought, and in order to avoid the discomfort and moral doubt, you will continue to protest the simple and empirically undeniable facts that have come to light. (No Bio, chem or nukes. No al-qaeda collaboration, nothing.)

"And I am tired of arguing with Donald, Lindy and Bowser about it (And Tony too)"

Yeah, its pretty hard to argue when all you have to defend yourself is endless repitition of the conviction that we did the right thing and acted in self defense without any substantial basis to your claims.

" So you think Bush is as bad as Saddam"

Point out where I said this? Do you have other lies to attribute to me? We might as well enumerate them all right now... Is this all you have left in the end, REB? No facts, nothing but belief and grade-school rhetoric attributing false things? Would you like to say 'Nyeah-Nyeah' now? Would that make you feel right?

Again, I find your not giving a rats ass about every other tyrant-inspired humanitarian disaster is indicitive of a real hypocrisy in your position.
