I'm not quite that laid back about it...
I think that it's a good thing to develop energy production methods that don't require burning oil and gas. There are good reasons for this besides global warming. I simply don't believe that turning our lives over to the socialists at the U.N. (or the ones in Washington, for that matter,) is the best way of going about this (or pretty much anything else.)
Let energy prices reach their natural levels
Develop a mature nuclear energy industry. This is one area where France makes us look bad. Best first step: Removing and/or modifying unreasonable regulations and telling the radical environmentalists to take a hike.
