He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law IF he broke the law (I understand that in this particular case they have to prove intentionality).

HOWEVER, that he broke the law is not the issue being made by the partisans on the right. The issue being made is that he either/or
1) Was hiding data from the 9/11 comission by destroying or hiding originals (not true and absurd. Not only were these not originals and he knew it, they were manifested and stored in m ultiple sites)
2) Was stuffing piles of documents into his socks
3) Was passing said documents to the kerry campaign.

If he screwed up, thats one thing- and he should pay for his carelessness. Its a whole other order of magnitude to accuse the man of high treason with malice afore thought. That simply stinks, and its another exhibition of extreme partisan rancor that I see from you in half your posts here.

Why is it that any enemy of Right wingers like you get cast as treasonous snakes by folks like you? Without even evidence of this. It stinks. I positively hate Rice, but I would not want to see her treated this way. This is McCarthyism.

To put things in perspective, a former DCI (Woolsey I think) had a similar mishap while manning the American Embassy in Moscow during the height of the cold war. He was in a high security area working on both classified and unclassified material. He mixed the papers on accident, it wasn't caught by the other personell on watch, and he ended up taking Secret material into an unsecure part of the embassy. I even think some of those materials were never recovered.

Not only was he NOT accused of high treason, but he was later selected as DCI and regained his clearance(obviously).

Again- this man has spent his life in gov't service and is not stupid. The accusations against him would require him not only to be a total fool, but a traitor as well (attempting to deliberatley destroy or capitalize on our nations secrets.)

This is vile shit spowed by low minded thughs out to destroy a fellow for political advantage. Until he is tried and convicted, why don't you show some respect and back off??
