You can move the front lines of the war with the terrorists.
Instead of having the front in downtown New York, Seattle, or some other place chosen by the terrorists at a date and time chosen by the terrorists, we can make the front line wherever we want it. The Bush administration decided that the best places to make those (public) front line stands were Afganistan and Iraq. Other fronts include the patriot act, the detention facilities at Quantanamo and other places to numerous to mention. (I'm sure there are many other front line stands that are being made covertly as well).
It is a "war". And if we pretend that its not, then we will lose. Again and again and again.
Bush must be doing something right because we haven't been attacked here at home since 9/11. That may change between now and election day. As we've seen in Spain the terrorists know that they can affect the outcome in yet another front: Elections. lets hope the terrorists are unable to use our democracy against us.
