Love = Capitalism

Isn't it amazing? I illustrate how Soros is funding John Kerry and democrats, a genuine billionaire, and yet here we see just the same old anti-capitalist innuendo and rhetoric and not even one billionaire listed who has come out for Bush.

It appeals to you because you feel that since 1972 your employment has been as a capitalist tool. I can't imagine thinking in those terms. People need things, people enjoy things. Is the baker a capitalist tool because he bakes delicious pastries folks like to eat?

Capitalism is just the system that works to make life better for all. It's not evil, it not some conscious beast that exploits humanity. You have such a twisted worldview here, it's hard for me to fathom it. Corporations aren't evil. CEOs aren't evil. (some of the roving profiteers that are brought into companies are self-serving jerks these days, but historically that has been the exception and not the rule) When Edison invented his devices and marketed them through a corporation, he helped millions to live more enjoyable lives. When Tesla teamed with Westinghouse to build an AC powerplant on Niagara Falls to power cities, it was for the public good. Progress and a quality of life unimagined to our great, great grandfathers is the result. Eggs, bacon and milk brought to the local market are the result. Air travel, radio and television, computers - all marketed and brought about by corporations and capitalism.

Investment in corporations by the people in the form of stock allows companies to design and research new technologies, build a better mousetrap or speed up deliveries of needed goods. Medicines, life-saving drugs and other wonders extend lives and make lives better. So much enjoyment and pleasure and happiness have been brought about by coporations and capitalism. The anti-capitalist view is that of the child that doesn't quite catch whats going on and gets influenced by other folks that don't get it either.

Corporations are made up of people they have stockholders and a board, also people, who control the actions of the company. Being anti-capitalist means one is anti-people, since capitalism and corporations are what have made lives better, funner, healthier and longer for billions of people.

When you program here, the folks enjoy the software, use it and appreciate it. You're a businessman and you have customers. You're not a "capitalist tool" youre a person who enjoys doing things and because you do them well can get compensated for doing them.

Often love, yes love, enters into a person's work and into corporations' work. Ideally, the best corporations employ folks that love what they do and love the results of their efforts. I can assure you that if there was no love involved in capitalism and in corporations efforts, most of the progress would never have come about.

You see what I'm getting at here? Can you see it, and your role in it, in a different more appreciative light?
