You keep forgetting, there were no WMDs in Iraq as claimed. That was the reason Mr. Bush said we needed to go to war. Many of us said at the time that the evidence looked pretty darn weak (So did the U.N.) and we ought to wait and let Blix do his job. Turns out that's precisely what we should have done.
We didn't need to go to war. 938 dead American soldiers would be alive today if we had followed Mr. Blix's recommendations and advice.
The war in Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and the war on terror. However, since we started the war there, it has become a perfect place to nuture future terrorists. Some accomplishment.
