I didn't say he had WMD right before the war. I said he had them earlier and that thanks to his own actions facilitated by Russia and France we had not proof he had gotten rid of them as required by the GW1 truce.
Saddam only complied with inspectors under threats of force and reluctance by France and Russia to authorize it played into Saddam's hand. It was obvious prior to 911 that Saddam had concluded France and Russia would protet him from American retaliation. He was smart enough to realize things had changes after 911 but was still not fully complying.
You continue to promote the same types of policy as the failed Clinton policy. It matters not one bit if Saddam had temporarily rid himself of WMD under eminent threat if he was fully capable of reconstituting that threat. We were incorrect that he was an eminent threat, but not that he was a long term threat. If we knew then what we knew now there would have been a need to attack Saddam at the time we did. However, it is idiotic to demand actions be judged by knowledge not available at the time decisions were made.
It is also idiotic to ignore the fact that we can not attack N. Korea without risking the center of population of S. Korea being over run. A war with N. Korea is not an option unless you want major fatalities in an allied country.
